Do I have any special powers?

I want to become a witchcraft to heal & protect people but I don’t know how to be a witch? I don’t have the special gift or special power on me..

Merry Meet. It is so wonderful to hear that you have a good heart and that your goal is to heal and protect people. Witchcraft is a very natural, instictive way of life. It was the way people lived a long time ago, before religions came into this world. Yes, religions were manufactured and modified and planned by groups that needed to control others, at a time when people simply lived by the rules of nature and considered everyone magickal. Every human being has come here on Earth to transition through certain experiences in life. Life in the womb, birth, childhood, adulthood, being pregnant or co-creating a baby, death, etc are some of the experiences that people come to the Earth for. As beings who have an eternal spirit, we are not destroyed when we face this “change of costume” known as death. We have within us, the ways and means to create our future. As magickal beings, we have to just think and focus and our future is created right before our eyes. That has been the way with older cultures. People who lived thousands of years ago and practiced witchcraft knew that they weren’t powerless. As time went on, people who came up with unnatural and judgemental religions told us that we were powerless and had to bow to an invisible God who never showed up. Did the older cultures know that they were able to heal and protect people? Of course they did. They used what was around them, the herbs, the shrubs, roots, flowers and their own intentions to heal and protect people. To be a witch, all you need to do is believe in yourself and in the rest of the world. Look around you. Study about the plants and trees in your neighborhood. Talk to the old people in your neighborhood and they may give you a lot of information on how to heal people when they are sick. There are many books that will teach you about herbs and their benefits. When you can reasonably identify the neighborhood plants and tell folks what to do to solve their problems, you have become a practicing witch! Look around and keep an eye out for other witches in your neighborhood. By sharing your ideas and recipes as well as spells and rituals, you may be able to widen your circle and live by the rules of nature. Then you are truly a witch! Hope this helps answer your question. Brightest Blessings.
