Good books for beginners

Hi I’m Lola I’m almost 12 and i really want to get into witchcraft, first off how should I start, what are some good books for beginners? How and when should i tell my parents? (I’m scared they might disprove of it. Thanks

Merry Meet Lola,
It is wonderful that you want to learn witchcraft, but remember that it is not the type that movies show. This witchcraft is a religion that is practiced by millions of people all over the world. Due to the extreme competition of the three “high flying” religions, most of the smaller religions have a difficult time in many countries.
Since you are only twelve years old, it is time to read books and ask questions about witchcraft. Since most of our parents were born and raised in their parent’s religions, they have not had a chance to think for themselves. However, times have changed and Witchcraft is now a legal religion under the name of Wicca. Thanks to the wise people of USA, Wicca is the largest growing religion in the US.
Here are a few tips on how to learn Witchcraft:
It is always wonderful to hear from people who are eager to understand, learn and practice the beautiful and extremely powerful religion of Wicca. There are many ways to learn Wicca.

One of the best ways is to read books that have been written by Wicca practitioners, such as:
Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham
Living Wicca: A Further Guide for the Solitary Practitioner (Llewellyn’s Practical Magick Series)
by Scott Cunningham
Drawing Down the Moon: Witches, Druids, Goddess-Worshippers, and Other Pagans in America Today
(Compass) by Margot Adler
The Element Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells: The Ultimate Reference Book for the Magical Arts by
Judika Illes
Solitary Witch: The Ultimate Book of Shadows for the New Generation by Silver Ravenwolf
and many others who have taken their time to explain in simple English how to become proficient in the wonderful religion of Wicca.
Another way to learn all about Wicca is to get my collection: http://www.2eggmarketing.com/answers/Assets/PHP/%22http://www.masteringmagickwitchcraft.com/video/%22
A third way to learn all about Wicca with friends who are in your state or town is to visit the link:
http://www.2eggmarketing.com/answers/Assets/PHP/%22http://www.witchvox.com/%22
Here, you can search on the left panel and locate your home town to see if there are Wiccans in your neighborhood.
You may also search on the internet via groups such as Yahoogroups or Googlegroups to find many covens that are all over the world. Some of them may be near you.

How to find covens
Check out this link. This is a list of Gaia covens that I found on Meetup.com
http://www.2eggmarketing.com/answers/Assets/PHP/%22http://www.meetup.com/find/?keywords=Gaia&mcId=&mcName=&lat=&lon=&userFreeform=&gcResults=&submitButton=Search&op=search”
Similarly you can search for Gaia covens in Google groups and Yahoo groups.
Also try http://www.2eggmarketing.com/answers/Assets/PHP/%22http://witchvox.com%22 where you can find a list of the left side of the webpage. Go through the list to find your country, then city to find out what services are available for witches from all over the world. Here you can find covens as well as individual witches. You may also see advertisements on various workshops, fairs and gatherings.
In your own city or town, try to go for spiritual gatherings even if they are not Gaia oriented. You’d be surprised by the number and variety of information that is available.
Yet another source is your own backyard. If you have found no Gaia covens in your area, why not start one?You will find others who have been waiting to join a coven.

Brightest Blessings.
Rose.
