How do I choose a deity?

hi my name is erika and im a begginer i have so many questions i need help to begin my wiccan path. how do i choose a deity?

Merry Meet Erika, I am very happy to know that you are a beginner eager to learn more about Wicca. One way to learn all about Wicca is to read good books on this religion. The more you read, the more questions you may have. That is certainly a good way to understand Wicca and begin to practice it. The main deity in Wicca is the Goddess. She is represented by the Moon. To the Greeks, she was Goddess Selene or Artemis. To the Romans, the Moon Goddess was known and worshipped as Luna and Diana. The dark Moon Goddess represents Hecate or Presephone. The New Moon Goddess was Artemis and the Full Moon Goddess was Demeter. As you can understand, the same entity (Goddess) is called by many names at different times. This is the central theme of Wicca. All the energies in all the deities are the same as the energy that flows through us. However, some witches call forth various deities to empower our rites and inspire our magick. Many deities including Apollo, Bridgit, Cernnunos, Diana, Dionysus, Hecate, Isis, etc. are called upon for various rituals because of their reputations over many centuries and various cultures. For example, Moon Goddess is the best deity to assist us in fertility rites. Jupiter is the God who rules the weather and brings rain. Cernunnos is all about change.and Lakshmi brings wealth and prosperity. When we have a drought and work a spell to bring rain, we may ask Jupiter to assist us. Since we know that He has a reputation for bringing rain, our energies will be stronger and more creative with this added “oomph” As Wicca spreads worldwide, we will hear of many more Goddesses and Gods who have even more specialized responsibilities and who guide us into creating an amazing future for this planet. Brightest Blessings.

I’m also a beginner and have been looking through books but I can’t seem to find anything solid to go off of. Where could I find some REALLY good sources on Wicca?
