How do I tell my mom im wiccan without her flipping out. and how do i explain to my friends that i do NOT worship satin. Also what can i do to make people stop asking me to do magick

Welcome to the Wicca way of life!
Think deeply about why you like Wicca. What exactly attracted you to this tradition? Write a long list of reasons that make you decide why you wanted to learn more about Wicca. Also read all that you can to allow you to explain to others what Wicca means to you.
First of all, you need to know that there are many people in this world who do not use their brains. They prefer to use other people’s brains and words. So they do not think for themselve and its very difficult to explain to them anything if the are not used to deciding anything for themselves. You seem to be an independent thinker and all you need to do is to mention that Satan is an imaginary character made up to put fear in the hearts of people.
When people ask you about Satan, just say that in Wicca, we do not deal with such imaginary figures, but we deal with Love and Nature and what we can think and feel for ourselves. Explain to them that Wicca is a nature loving religion that focuses on positive rather than negative forces.
To your mother, you should be very respectful, never get angry or shout (that is negative energy) and always know that she will love you no matter what. If she is angry, it could be because she is afraid, for most of the current religions believe that fear is faith!
So give her time, tell her that you are not into this to hurt anyone. tell her the good things that have happened to you when you use magick for positive, inspirational purposes. Tell her that only good can come out of your life now.
Make sure that she knows you love her the same and that you will always be there to help her no matter what.
By behaving like a responsible adult, you will be giving proof to your mother and your friends that Wicca is a peaceful, loving, religion that could help make the world a loving, safe place to live in.

Down here, as I presume everywhere else wiccan is frowned upon because of the unknown, whic has made me scared to practice the art, for the fear of being caught. Any suggestions?
