Is becoming a witch right for me?

how do you know if you are the right person to become a witch

Becoming a witch is a matter of personal religious choice, so there are no “right” people to become witches. There are simply people who have chosen to follow the Wiccan faith and learn about it.

If you think that you would like to become a witch, then you need to research the faith and determine if you are still interested after you have learned about the religion. If so, then you need to find a coven that is willing to take you in and teach you the basics of the faith.

I would start by reading on ine, at this site and others, about Wicca and the Wiccan Rede. Be careful in your studies to look for sites that talke about the Rede and the faith behind it. Some sites about witchcraft promote the entirely wrong belief system and are not really about Wicca. Be careful of sites that promote “black magic”  or fail to mention the Rede. Teh basic premise of the Rede, is that you can do what you want, so long as it harms no one. If you come across a site that promotes harming others, either physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually, find another site.

You can also research the Rede and wicca at your local library or bookstore. You should be able to find books that teach you the basics. For something more advanced, I suggest that you find local practitioners that can help you discover your interests and faith.
