Is there a Wiccan Church or Confirmation?

I am new to Wicca, and I know almost nothing about it. Is it necessary to join a Wiccan church or get some type of ceremony or confirmation?

Merry Meet Seeker, Wicca is an amazing way of life. Anyone can practice it without the help of any other human being. There are no churches, no one to obey and no one who collects money in the name of God. Wicca, however, has wonderful ceremonies in which people like you and I can enjoy being with each other and rejoice in the benevolence of the Universe. The Universe is what surrounds us: the air, the water, the sky, the trees, etc. This beautiful life that people have lived since time immemorial is what present day Wiccans enjoy wholeheartedly. Some Wiccans join together to form a coven. Others may become solitary practitioners. Regardless of what form they choose to work in Wicca, there is plenty to celebrate. A dedication ceremony may be planned if you are a solitary practitioner. If you are part of a coven, or if a number of witches just prefer to work together, there are so many ways to get together and enjoy life. Magick is natural. Celebrations in Wicca has to do with celebrating nature and its changes. Yule (Dec 21), Imbolc (Feb 2), Ostara (March 21) Beltane (April 30), Midsummer (June 21) Lughnasadh (August 1), Mabon (Sept 21) and Samhain (Oct 21) are celebrated with merry making, wine, rituals, food and joy. As you can see, Wicca is fun, inspiring and entertaining without the unnecessary fears and rules of other religions. Enjoy! Brightest Blessings. Rose.
