Love is a fickle thing. First, you must realize that you cannot control the will of someone else - no matter how much you love them. The only person that you have total control over is yourself. You may also look inside your self and wonder why you would want to stay with someone who doesn’t want to be with you. There are a whole lot of fish in the sea - he’s just one of the small ones. You did not mention your husband’s reasons for leaving. Therefore, telling you how to keep him or change his mind isn’t really possible.

But, I can tell you this: if he wants to go, and going will make him happy, then let him go with your blessings. You’ve probably heard it time and again, but if it is meant to be, he will come back. This doesn’t mean that you won’t be hurt and/or angry - you will experience a full range of emotions. You may even be tempted to do him harm. But that will only cause you more harm in the long run, and you must control that urge and remember the three-fold rule. Your best revenge is to be happy and move on with your own life.
