What are the rules of Witchcraft?

First – To live as a ‘white witch’, there are four very simple rules which each person must understand. You can envision a four legged stool with each rule representing a leg of the stool and the law is the seat. In order to be comfortable and useful, the stool needs all four legs and the seat of. If any are missing, the person will be uncomfortable.

The Four Rules

1. Live – Live each day as if it were your last, for one day you it will be your last.
2. Love – Love yourself first and foremost. For when you truly love yourself, it is easier to love those around you.
3. Learn – Learn your life’s lessons – each as it comes – that is why we are here.
4. Enjoy – Enjoy your life, or your time here will have been wasted.

The Law: Harm None

These five elements make up the Wiccan Rules. If we take a closer look at the law to harm none, that can be very difficult. One a normal day we do things to kill bacteria because it is harmful and many people kill insects and other bugs. But, this law means to exercise all possible restraint to not consciously harm another. This can be human or animal. We would not needlessly kill an animal, but if it threatens our life or the life of a loved one, that is a different situation. As with everything in life, apply common sense and you should be fine.
