What is a kitchen witch?

Dear Rose, Someone told me that I am a kitchen witch. What does that mean? Is it an insult? Thank-you for responding. Sincerely, Cynthia

Merry Meet Cynthia. So you are a kitchen witch? That’s a wonderful thing, indeed! Kitchen witchery is the term used for special people who are happy with their lives, cooking amazing meals and basically taking care of their families while considering all the daily chores a blessing. It also may mean that you are happy being at home, pottering around the house , cleaning up and setting things straight. Finding the sacred in the mundane everyday things doesn’t come easy to everyone. Some people like you are very talented and at the same time enjoy life to the fullest. This type of people are good to have around for they find joy in everything and have an attitude which attracts more joy. Kitchen witches honor the Goddess by taking care of the hearth and home and considering the life at home as a blessing. Some kitchen witches are also good at gardening and use fresh herbs and vegetables because they are concerned about the health of the people who live with them. Again, it is the extra care that these types take which make them extraordinary. I am not sure why you were called a kitchen witch, but it is certainly not an insult. Actually, it is praise for your ways of seeing joy in whatever you were doing at that particular time. You may have been serving some special food, talking about preparing food of discussing a recipe in which you helped the listener more than she expected. Anyway, sleep easy, you seem to be a wonderful, skilled and loving witch! Brightest Blessings.
